Detailed description
Saikogenin A, an anti-inflammatory drug, is present in the crude extract of a Chinese herbal plant called Tsai-Fu.  Saikogenin A was less effective in adrenalectomized rats than in normal rats in reducing the carrageenin-induced edema.
