| Glycyrrhizic acid has anti-inflammatory effects. Glycyrrhizic acid is an antiallergic drug for liver disease. Glycyrrhizic acid has antiviral effects, inhibits SARS-coronavirus (SARS-CoV) replication in vitro; inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis on human glioblastoma U251 cell line which is possibly related to the NF-κB mediated pathway.
